I am a supervisor with the Linkage service covering the Southwest region. I am based in the Limerick office where I take referrals from the Limerick area. I have worked with the service for 15 years and I still can say I love my job, the clients, and my colleagues. Everyday is different, some days more challenging than others. I can say every day I finish my days work with job satisfaction because the work I do is very rewarding.

I have been a Linkage Service Training and Employment Officer since 2016 and a Supervisor for the South-East region since 2024. Working with my colleagues in Tosú and in the Probation Service, I strive to find the best training, education and employment opportunities for our clients so that they move on with their lives in a constructive and positive manner. The work is a perfect mix of interesting, challenging and rewarding. In my spare time, I enjoy plodding around the backroads and canals of Kildare.

I am passionate about supporting clients to build confidence and hope for their future. I encourage individuals to explore a wide range of vocational opportunities, helping them succeed in their studies, training and careers.  I hold an Honours degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Queen’s University Belfast, as well as a Higher Diploma in Adult Guidance and Counselling from Maynooth University. I am a Qualified Member of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors.

As Operations Manager for Community Based Services, it is my privilege to lead a dedicated team of professional Training and Employment Officers in their intensive work with clients. I listen, synthesize, and partner with my team to develop and implement innovative approaches to client work. I love that I get to work with so many smart people who are brimming with ideas and passion. Every day, I get to see the transformational results of smart people collaborating on solving complex problems.

I am a Training and Employment Officer covering Louth and Dublin 9 & 11. I have worked as part of the Linkage Team within the organisation for the last 20 years and am privileged to have the same enthusiasm and love for my work as when I started. I count myself among the lucky few who can say that they truly love their job. I work in collaboration with the Probation Officers across 3 busy offices and even after all these years my work can still surprise me. There is always something new to learn and no two days are the same. The work I do is both challenging and very rewarding.”

I am the Coordinator for Community Based Services in Tosú and also a Training and Employment Officer covering Clondalkin, Ballyfermot and Tallaght. Every day is different, I could be seeing clients, facilitating groupwork, attending networking events or training, collaborating with colleagues or tackling my admin!  I have been part of the Linkage Service for 20 years and have been lucky enough to see it grow and expand to where we are today and feel privileged to be part of our continuing growth.

I am passionate about helping people to identify and build on their strengths, navigate through difficult circumstances, and make connection to resources that will help them to progress. Sometimes I may only meet with a client for a few appointments before their goals are achieved, other times it is a more involved process over a longer period of time – success looks different for everyone, and I encourage everyone I work with to help define it for themselves. I initially worked as a Training and Employment Officer in Castlerea Prison and then in the community, covering Galway city and county. I currently work with clients in Longford, Roscommon, Westmeath, and Leitrim.
